Sprachreise der 4. Klassen auf Malta

From 23^rd to 30^th September, the fourth-year students visited the island of Malta. Beside going on numerous guided tours and excursions, we also had to put our English skills to the test.

On Saturday morning, we left for the airport at around 4 a.m. After the 2½-hour flight and a turbulent landing, we arrived in Malta. We were taken to our host families and had a short time to relax and make ourselves comfortable. On Sunday we started with a full day excursion. From ancient buildings and the fish market to the turquoise waters of the Blue Grotto, everything was included. School started the very next day with two learning sessions per day, spread over the morning.

Of course, excursions to the capital Valletta and the old town of Mdina were not missed. Another highlight was the boat trip to the nearby island of Comino. We could swim and sunbathe in the blue lagoon with its crystal clear water all afternoon. The evenings were always free and so we used the time to go out for dinner, to go shopping or to just sit by the sea.

The week was over quickly and on Saturday at 4 a.m. we went to the airport and arrived back in Vienna at 10 a.m.
